GOLLIWOG BALL

Trick. Obedient ball becomes golliwog ball in 1903. The Favourite Devantopener and in act for a decade. A development of Kellars version (with permission). Also adopted by Chung Ling Soo. The trick dropped out of the repertoires of magicians by 1960s, probably due to the shift of magic from theatres to hotels and night-clubs. It was resurrected by Jim Steinmeyer at Los Angeles Conference on Magic History in 1992.
